Dielectric Ceramics

Dielectric ceramics ideally have zero electrical conductivity. Therefore, they are electrical insulators. In order to be used, they must have the following characteristics:

  • high dielectric strength which means that they must be able to bear high voltages without degrading and becoming conductors.
  • low dielectric loss which means that in an electric field the loss of electrical energy in the form of heat must be minimal.
They can be used at high temperatures (about 1250 ° C) and offer good resistance to thermal shock.
Dielectric ceramics according to customer needs can be produced through: PRESSING, DRAWING and CASTING.
