Silicon carbide resistors

SIC (silicon carbide) resistors are a type of tubular electric heaters in silicon carbide. SIC resistors are composed of 3 sections:

  • the central section called “hot zone”
  • two terminal sections called “cold zone”.

The hot zone is the central section where the heater in SIC RADIATES HEAT.

SIC resistors from S.F.M. S.r.l. are mainly used in high-performance industrial furnaces. They are excellent electric heater. They can be used in numerous applications and in different types of atmospheres.

The SIC resistor is recommended for high temperature applications up to 1600 ° C.

There are various forms of SIC resistors, the best known, forms are U, H, W, SINGLE and DOUBLE SPIRAL.
